Subsidized Labor Programs
  • Transitional Subsidized Employment Program - Hire an entry level worker through the SBWIB and the SBWIB will cover a large portion of the employee's wages for 10 months for private and non-profit organizations!

  • On-the-Job Training (WIOA program) - Hire a permanent employee through the SBWIB and the SBWIB will reimburse a portion of the wages for up to 6 months for on the job training. 

  • Hire an Intern - Student workers are available for summer jobs and year round part time work.

SouthBayBusiness.org is a regional collaboration led by the SBWIB to help South Bay Cities and business succeed in a competitive marketplace. The website is designed as a tool for layoff aversion, business retention and business attraction efforts and provides business and governments with the critical data they need to evaluate trends and make important business decisions. 

TRANSITIONAL SUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT (TSE)

Through the SBWIB, the TSE program provides entry-level workers for your business, located anywhere in LA County. The SBWIB will cover 10 months of wages.

Interview and choose eligible workers referred from the Department of Public Social Services Greater Avenues for Independence (DPSS GAIN) program.
