Workforce Solution:

The One-Stop helped Melissa update her resume, retrain in massage therapy, and provided support as she progressed in her job search. She passed the Massage Board Licensing Examination (MBLEx), became a Certified Massage Therapist, and worked in the industry for three months before COVID struck and found herself unemployed again.

Outcome and Benefits:

Melissa reconnected with the One-Stop and obtained additional credentials needed to start a new career pathway in the healthcare and healing arts. She is now employed at Athreya Ayurvedic Integrative Health Center.

“I’d have to tell others that there are people who care to see others succeed and are more than willing to assist you through a transitional time. I would also have to tell others about my career counselor, of course, because he was there for me every step along the way.”
