Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services
Workforce History:
Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services has provided free mental health, substance use disorder and suicide prevention services since 1942. Didi Hirsch helps more than 150,000 children and adults from 10 locations and 100 schools throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties each year.
Workforce Challenge:
Didi Hirsch turned to the South Bay Workforce Investment Board’s Inglewood One-Stop Business and Career Center in December 2019 to get assistance in finding qualified candidates to fill positions as well as advertising outreach support.
Outcome and Benefits:
The One-Stop staff developed a series of flyers and circulated them through the workforce network. Applicants were vetted through the One-Stop center and qualified candidates were referred to Didi Hirsch.
As a result of the collaboration, Didi Hirsch was able to receive a wider candidate pool and hire qualified job seekers for the open positions.
